The class begins with a hands-on introduction to the key ingredients, such as boneless chicken breasts or thighs, panko breadcrumbs, and a simple egg wash. You’ll then be guided through the process of seasoning the chicken, dredging it in flour, dipping it in the egg wash, and coating it with panko for that signature crunch.
As you learn to fry the chicken to perfection, the instructor will emphasize oil temperature and frying techniques to ensure the cutlets are evenly cooked and crispy on the outside while remaining tender and juicy inside. You’ll also learn how to make a flavorful tonkatsu sauce to accompany your dish, adding a sweet and tangy element to complement the savory chicken.
