2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon baking powder
2 tablespoons shortening
1 cup water
3 tablespoons chopped parsley
In a medium bowl add the dry ingredients. Cut the shortening into the flour mixture until they are the size of small peas. Add the water and parsley and stir together to form a ragged ball. Scoop a spoonful at a time onto the boiling soup or stew, placing them side by side to cover the surface of the pot. Cook uncovered 10 minutes. Cover and cook 10 minutes more.
